Your visa to the DPRK
All visitors to the DPRK must have a valid entry visa.
Most commonly, participants in our trips obtain their DPRK visa through the DPRK Embassy in Beijing, China. We
would be very happy to assist you in obtaining your visa - all we require is a photocopy of the information pages of your passport, a scanned passport photo, and the visa fee of Euro 50 (added to the deposit when you register for the trip). With the exception of PRC passports, we will not ask you to send us your passport.
Alternatively, participants may obtain their own DPRK visa at the nearest DPRK Embassy or Consulate. The cost here may differ, but be informed that you may be required to hand in your passport for a number of days prior to the trip.
We certainly recommend applying for the visa through the DPRK Embassy in Beijing (Koryotours Beijing takes care of that) - it is a hassle-free process, we've never had a visa application refused, and it is a much less time-consuming and energy-sapping process. It is also a cheaper way of obtaining the visa, since the participant will not have to incur any travel/postage/time costs.
Your DPRK visa will be provided on a separate sheet, and will not be stamped or printed in your passport itself.
