Overland transport in the DPRK - We like to move it !
Beijing - Pyongyang - Beijing
Travel from Beijing to Pyongyang and back is with Air Koryo, the DPRK's national carrier. The two-hour flight provides an interesting array of in-flight entertainment, and the flight attendants will be very happy to answer your initial questions. Their friendliness is world-renowned.
Overland in the DPRK
Throughout our stay in the DPRK, our group will be assigned its own bus and driver. The buses are generally comfortable and well-maintained, and the number of stars on the side of the bus indicates how many thousands of kilometres the bus has travelled without accident !
In the area around Mount Paektu and Mount Chilbo, smaller buses may be used.

To Mount Paektu and Mount Chilbo
The group charters its own plane for the trips to Mount Paektu and Mount Chilbo, where applicable. Nothing beats the feeling of being flown in one's own plane, especially if Business Class is the only class available !
Upon arrival in Samjiyon or Chilbosan, the plane patiently waits until the next day, before taking the group back to Pyongyang.

... and a very special treat !
The world's deepest metro system awaits you. Only when you travel to Pyongyang and head down one of the longest escalators anywhere in the world will you find out why this metro is so deep below the surface !
Be part of the first few groups of visitors who will experience riding through six different stations, rather than the customary two beautifully decorated stations (Renaissance and Glory). You will be able to take photos that nobody else has !
