Join us on the first ever Youth Soccer Camp in North Korea ! We will explore various parts of the country while having daily practice sessions and a good number of friendly matches against local teams. Football diplomacy often achieves far more than politics ever will, and we will use this tour to establish links of friendship and goodwill with our North Korean hosts.
We will visit Pyongyang, Mount Myohyang, Nampo, Kaesong and the DMZ. There will also be a range of entertainment activities to keep everyone on their toes !
Youngsters, coaches and parents are all welcome to join us.
This tour is offered in cooperation with schools and soccer academies in Asia.
Provisional trip program*
Day 1 - Saturday August 2nd
Meet at Beijing Capital Airport Terminal 2 at 10.30 am for Check-in.
13.00 Flight from Beijing to Pyongyang, arrival in Pyongyang at 16.00 (local time; two-hour flight) Customs at Pyongyang Airport, meet guides and driver, Mansudae Grand Monument (huge statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, present flowers), Mansudae Fountain Park, Arch of Triumph (10 metres taller than the one in Paris !), transfer to Yanggakdo Hotel.
Accommodation : Yanggakdo Hotel or Ryanggang Hotel, Pyongyang
After dinner : Short training session, followed by a visit to the Rungna Fun Fair (ultra-modern fair with amazing roller coasters and other thrilling rides) or local performance

Day 2 - Sunday August 3rd
Morning : Early morning training session.
Visit Tower of the Juche Idea (lift to the top, Euro 5 to be paid on the spot; fantastic views over Pyongyang), Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery (very scenic cemetery on the outskirts of the city), hike on mount Rungak (Dragon Mountain) and mix with local people, Kim Il Sung Square (where the world-famous parades take place), walk along Taedong River (one of the few city walks currently possible)
Lunch on boat on Taedong River (Pyongyang No 1 restaurant) – or boat ride to Mangyongdae
Afternoon : Visit Moranbong Park in central Pyongyang (opportunity to play social volleyball against local groups – play Frisbee with local children and adults, maybe some improvised small-sided football also)
Drive to Kaesong (about 2.5 hours)
Visit the tomb of King Kongmin (one of the most important kings in Korean history; tomb set in beautiful scenery).
Check in at Minsok Folk Hotel
Traditional dinner in Minsok Folk Hotel, Kaesong
Minsok Folk Hotel (traditional hotel where guests sleep on thin mattresses on the heated floor – a fantastic night’s sleep guaranteed !)

Visit Demilitarized Zone (the most heavily guarded border in the world), Panmunjom (Joint Security Area – border with South Korea), Koryo Museum (former Confucian University), gift shop
Lunch in Kaesong
Afternoon : School visit with football training and matches (in Kaesong)
Return to Pyongyang
Dinner in Kaesong or Pyongyang
Evening : Fun Fair – bowling – ice skating – entertainment in hotel
Accommodation : Yanggakdo Hotel or Ryanggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Morning : Early morning training session.
Drive to Mount Myohyang. Visit International Friendship Exhibition (two enormous exhibition halls with thousands of gifts to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il; find the gifts from your home country ! and find the football signed and donated by Pele !), Pohyon Buddhist Temple (meet the resident monk)
Lunch in Mount Myohyang
Afternoon : Visit Secondary School in Mount Myohyang / Pyongsong Secondary School – cultural exchange, football training session and/or matches with/ against the local school or local youth teams
Alternatively – afternoon hike in Manpok Valley (physical training)
Return to Pyongyang
Dinner in Mount Myohyang or Pyongyang
Evening : Fun Fair – bowling – ice skating – entertainment in hotel
Accommodation : Yanggakdo Hotel or Ryanggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Afternoon : Visit Kang Bang Suk Middle School or June 9th Middle School - joint training and football matches
Attend musical performance by local school
Dinner in Pyongyang (BBQ)
Evening : Kaeson Fun Fair (chance to take some roller coaster rides with the local people) – rides to be paid on the spot (ranging from 1-3 Euros) or local performance if available (entrance to be paid on the spot) – bowling – entertainment in hotel
Accommodation : Yanggakdo Hotel or Ryanggang Hotel, Pyongyang

Lunch in Nampo
Afternoon - Nampo school visit with football training and/or matches
Return to Pyongyang, hike on Mount Ryunggak (near Spa Hotel)
If a school visit in Nampo is not possible, then return to Pyongyang, visit School Children’s Palace (with performance), then afternoon training session and/or matches with/against local school or club.
Dinner in Pyongyang
Evening : Visit Department store and coffee shop
